Wisconsin 2006

Andy with his first big fish of the year -- 48 1/2" Turtle Flowage Muskie (our new record!)

We had high hopes coming into this year, figuring that if Ricky could put some big fish on the line, we all could!

Starting off on Superior, once again Wayne got things rolling early.  A laker and a splake would start the eventual Trifecta.

Teal was next, but as we were to learn, muskies would be hard to come by this week.  The otters were catching fish at least.

Back on Superior, Ricky was all smiles.

But when we turned back toward muskies, again we were met with defeat.  At least we had some time to explore the land around Mineral.  Thankfully, Ricky finally broke the slump with a fish in the evening.

After an unsuccessful morning on a stretch of the Flambeau along Hwy 70, we tried Butternut, where we found a couple fish on suckers.
