Summer Vacation 2007

July has been a busy month, and it's not even over yet!  We drove all over the upper Midwest visiting family and friends--it was fun, but it's good to be home.

Before we started on our trip, Mommy and Daddy took me camping on Mark Twain Lake in Missouri.  I really enjoyed crawling around in the cabin.  We also went out on the boat, and after a short nap I touched my first fish!  I'm excited for Uncle Andy to teach me how to catch Muskies.

Later in June I had to say goodbye to my pal Ken.  We miss you!  Summersaults cheered me up, though.

Our first stop was Rochester to visit Jeremy, Gina, Sabrina, and Spencer.  I got to ride in a wagon, play in a kiddie pool, watch fireworks, and visit a zoo (the coyote is my favorite!).  The grownups were also making some sort of fuss about Mommy eating her first beef hotdog since she was little like me.  I think she lost a bet....

Spencer was sad? to see me go.

Then it was off to Two Harbors on the North Shore of Lake Superior.  It was beautiful!  It was the first time I met my aunt Larkin and only the second time I had seen my uncles Matt and Andy, so I was a pretty popular girl.  Jack and Linda visited me too!

Once again we were on the road--this time to visit Debbie and Dave's cabin in Minnesota.  I also met my cousin Anne for the first time!

Did I mention that I'm walking all over the place now?  Well, running, as Mommy says.  She's still faster, but I'm gaining.

The rest of July I get to spend with Daddy as he studies for the PM&R boards.  Sometimes we play hide and seek.  Mommy always wonders why there's such a mess when she gets home....
