Summer 2009

Mommy says I gave her a heart attack this summer.  Daddy says that although his hair didn't grey too much, he thinks for sure it's thinner.  I don't know what all the fuss was about--I was just lost in a park full of hundreds of kids and grown ups, blow-up toys, and chaos for 5-10 minutes or so (Daddy says it felt like 2 hours).  I hope we can go to Jubilee Days again!

We had a great time at Ron Hesla's Farm.

Over the 4th of July we went to the Wisconsin Dells.  Nate and I swam at least 2 hours a day.  We got to play with Grandma Teri and Baby Paige.  I rode a horse!!!  We rode a duck boat (and I got splashed!) and we fed giraffes right out of our hands.

Back at home we played in the rain, mowed lawn, had Baby Ava over to play, fished, and grew a really big garden!

We went to St. Paul for Matt and Teri's engagement party.  Como park was a lot of fun!

I had a fun birthday too!  Lots of my best friends were there.  Mommy made me an elephant cake too.

We did a lot of exploring this summer, always on the hunt for a big spider or a frog.  The apples ripened early, and Mommy and Daddy and aunt Neili made a whole bunch of apple sauce.

Greg, Julia, and Hannah came to visit over Labor Day.  We made lots of cider.  Everyone was making a big deal about Mommy not drinking any wine.

The summer wrapped up with Matt and Teri's wedding, a visit with Kyan, Carissa, Bill, Nan, and Seth to the apple orchard, and a quick trip to Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells.  As we were leaving the waterpark at Chula Vista, I said, "my favorite part was everything."  Uncle Matt and Aunt Teri's wedding was beautiful--perfect weather, good food, and fun family.  I was the flower girl.  Daddy and Mommy went for a run with Dave, Debbie, Anne, Lil, Barb, and Ari.  I played with Cole a lot too.  At the orchard, Carissa and Bill had heart attacks just like Mommy and Daddy--Kyan went on a hayride all by himself without telling anyone.  I'm glad he had a yellow hat on!
